National Butterfly Center, 10/21/14

Nothing fantastic at the NBC today.  I got started late, had to set out a shower and then got rained on hard so I didn't get a lot done.  Best bug today was this Zilpa Longtail.

Texas Powdered-Skipper has not been as common lately.  This is a nice one.

I keep photographing Julia's Skippers in an attempt to understand them.  This one has a spotted PM band.  Sometimes they are more brassy.

Common Mellana can look similar but usually they're high while Julia's tends to stay low.

Who doesn't like a god Red-bordered Pixie.

This Painted Lady had a rough night on the town.

No list today.
