I was cleaning out my SD card and saw the photos of the Red Rim in our Progreso Lakes yard so I thought I would make a quick post. Red Rims are not rare in the Valley but they are usually not cooperative; just a black butterfly with a glowing red stripe that streaks by getting your attention and gone before you can do anything about it. One stopped in our Progreso Lakes yard and I was able to get a couple of shots before it was gone. It was only our second ever for theyard.
