Sabal Palm Sactuary, 10/13/13

I ran down to the Sabal Palm Sanctuary in Brownsville to look for Double-dotted Skipper.  I didn't find any but was happy to see some of the local specialties.  Boisduval's Yellow is sometimes hard to photograph,  but I saw several nectaring on Red Salvia and some little mint.

Fairly common near ephemeral resacas is the Mimosa Skipper.

These two seem to always be found in wooded areas.  Sickle-winged Skipper and Mazan's Scallopwing.

The crucita wasn't blooming yet and not a lot was present in the butterfly garden, so I'll have to get back down there in a couple of weeks.
