Marius Hairstreak at Progreso Lakes, 12/11/20

The visiting butterfliers have left and we had a cold spell and butterflies have not been up to much.  But we had strong southerly winds today ahead of a cold front and I had my hopoes up.  It didn't bring in a lot but this worn Marius Hairstreak was a first for our yard at Progreso Lakes, #127.  I'm hoping that the wing is "smudged" enough to turn it into a Smudged Hairstreak but so far there are no takers on my Facebook post.

It was so silvery I was thinking about Pearly-gray Hairstreak but the gray eyes make it a Rekoa and the most common one by far is marius.
